Department
The department is handling the Shipping Operations for the Group's Time Charter and Voyage Vessels in the dry division.
Main Purpose
To ensure proper operation of TC and spot vessels and maximize performance - time charter equivalent (TCE), following global standards and International regulations at all times.
Reporting Structure
- Co-Head of Dry Shipping Operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake voyage planning to meet international regulation and respond to vessel issues
- Handle bunkers optimisation
- Review stowage planning
- Coordinate Agency appointments
- Provide Voyage Orders to vessels
- Monitor vessels performance during all voyages ie speed and consumptions
- Handle questionnaires, certificates, LOI's and all relevant supporting docs
- Update company's software with required data
- Liaise with customers (internal and external) on cargo readiness, vessel schedules etc
The ideal candidate will be a curious, self-starter, who can think on their feet, is always hungry to learn and willing to do more, finding the next opportunity independently. Someone who is action-oriented, extremely well-organized, and can think out of the box, while applying logic to problems and finding solutions to challenges which the role will offer daily.
Abilities, Experience and Qualifications:
- Suitable candidates will hold a minimum 5 to 7 years' of sea and/or shore experience in same position
- Supramax and Handymax experience preferred
- Good knowledge of Charter Party terms
- Excellent communication (oral/written) skills and IT system literacy
- Strong analytical and quantitative thinking skills
- Strong business acumen and has a commercial approach
- Ability to work and adapt in a challenging, fast paced and high pressure environment

• Use software to check, track, route and prioritize orders

• Manage all the crucial documents such as bills of lading, pick slips, shipping notices etc.

• Direct the flow of shipments from packaging to shipment

• Oversee and lead the subordinate staff

• Check the labels, bar-codes along with other things of completed orders

• We are looking to hire an Shipping Documentation Manager (Export / Import Manager) with a minimum 14 years of experience. Who is well versed with the export /import requirement of garment business.

Job Description :-

1. Quality Assurance & Control Services including TPI (Third Party Service provider Inspection) Services, engineering control & record maintenance.
2. Regular inspection/checking as per site condition in respective project, engineering control & record maintenance;
3. Quantity survey of all work executed by the Service providers.

4. Quantity survey and preparation of Bill of quantities for Civil, Structural, Architectural and Electrical & Instrumentation works. Keeping record of measurements of all works executed by Service provider and validate as per approved drawing .

5. Pre-pour & Post-pour inspection to be carried out in civil works with generation of handing over protocols through Owners EICs, for all works.

6. Coordinates checking with master bench mark reference.

7.Compaction tests done at site before starting off for road work/any succeeding civil work .

8. Batching plant incoming materials are checked for quality standards conformity.

9. Batching plant cube test reports are checked as per standard duration for strength of concrete.

Being a Shipping Specialist investigates and recommends corrective actions for all non-conformance. . The Shipping Specialist works under moderate supervision.
